PM’s four-day India visit starts from April 7

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay a state visit to India from April 7 to 10.

Both Bangladesh and India on Tuesday jointly announced the date of the visit. The two leaders will hold official talks in New Delhi on April 8, reports bdnews24.com.

“The upcoming visit is expected to further expand the cordial and cooperative relationship between India and Bangladesh and build on the strong ties of friendship and trust between the two leaders,” reads a joint statement by the foreign ministries of the two countries.

Two neighbouring country announced the visit seven years after Sheikh Hasina’s last visit in January 2010 and two years after her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh in June 2015.
