Two Bangladeshis die in Qatar crash
The bodies of the two Bangladeshi workers, who went missing in Qatar on Friday, have been found at a Doha hospital.
Hospital and the expatriates' family sources said they died on Friday night in a road accident which left another Bangladeshi injured. The accident occurred in the New Sanaya area in Qatar’s capital Doha.
The deads are Shahidul Hassan Saikat, 26, and Md Shipon, 35. They hailed from Comilla’s Chauddagram Upazila. The bodies of the two Bangladeshis were found in Doha’s Hamad Hospital. The injured was identified as Farooq Bhuiyan, 40, he was rescued and admitted to the same hospital.
Expatriate Bangladeshis and family sources said the accident took place while the three were returning home in a private car.
Saikat’s uncle Abdul Momin said he had called his nephew’s mobile on Friday night as he was late. Momin said the mobile phone was turned off and he made inquiries at various local institutions. The bodies of the two were later found at the hospital, he added.
Preparations are being made to bring the bodies to Bangladesh as soon as possible, said official Rabiul Islam of the Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar.
