LankaBangla leads DSE turnover chart
LankaBangla Finance Sunday dominated the premier bourse's transaction chart while Beximco was the most-traded issue on the port city's bourse.
LankBangla Finance, Beximco, Far Chemical Industries, Beximco Pharmaceuticals and Shepherd Industries were the most-active shares in terms of value on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to the statistics available with the DSE, about 11.38 million shares of LankaBangla were traded, generating a turnover of Tk 693 million on the day. It was 5.39 per cent of the day's total turnover value.
The non-bank financial institution's share price hovered between Tk 59.50 and Tk 62.40, before closing at Tk 59.90 on the day, losing 11.28 per cent over previous day. It was also the day's top loser.
Market insiders said LankaBangla emerged as the day's top loser following its price adjustment after record. It was the first trading session after record date.
LankaBangla has recommended 15 per cent cash and 15 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2016.
Besides, the five most-traded shares in terms of value on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) were Beximco, Beximco Pharma, Far Chemical, Keya Cosmetics and Shepherd Industries.
