Truck rams auto-rickshaw in Sylhet, four dead

Four people were killed and two others were injured as a truck crashed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Alinagar of Beanibazar upazila in Sylhet on Friday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Dulal, 25, Siddique, 35, Guljar Ahmed, 28, and the auto driver Abul Hossain, 20, reports UNB.

Chandan Chakraborty, officer-in-charge of Beanibazar Police Station, said the truck smashed into the three-wheeler on Sylhet-Beanibazar road around 5:30pm, leaving three people dead on the spot and three others, including Abul, critically injured.

Later, the auto driver died on the way to hospital.

The injured were taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, the OC said.
