JS body recommends security gate in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Posts, Telecommunication and ICT Ministry has recommended setting up a security gate on a rail track which goes through the Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur, aiming to avoid accidents, reports UNB.
The parliamentary watchdog came up with its recommendation at its 17th meeting held at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park on Thursday with its chairman Imran Ahmad in the chair.
The meeting discussed the progress of implantation of Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park project, informing that once the project is implemented, nearly one lakh people will get employment, a handout said.
It suggested submitting two separate reports at the next meeting on the progress about the implementation of the park's activities carried out at the government level and public-private partnership (PPP).
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, committee member Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia and senior officials of the ICT ministry were, among others, present at the meeting.
