9 get life for murder of Khulna journalist Manik Shaha
A court has sentenced nine to life imprisonment for the murder of Khulna journalist Manik Chandra Shaha.
A Speedy Trial Tribunal judge MA Rab Howlader on Wednesday gave the verdict in the murder that happened twelve years ago.
Two were acquitted from murder charges.
The judge has let off the ten accused in the explosives case filed over his murder.
On Jan 15, 2004 a bomb attack near the Khulna Press Club led to the death of Manik Chandra Shaha.
The Ekushey Padak winner had been a correspondent for the Daily Sangbad and the BBC, according to a news agency.
