Quasem Drycells tops transaction chart
Quasem Drycells dominated the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) transaction chart Tuesday while Bangladesh Export Import Company (Beximco) topped the port city bourse's turnover chart.
The four most-traded shares in terms of value on the premier bourse were Ratanpur Steel Re-rolling Mills, Bangladesh Building Systems, Beximco and National Tubes.
According to the statistics available with the DSE, about 2.37 million shares of Quasem Drycells were traded, generating a turnover of Tk 235 million, which was 2.91 per cent of the premier bourse's total turnover value.
Besides, the five most-traded shares in terms of value on the port city bourse were Beximco, Generation Next Fashions, Keya Cosmetics, Orion Pharmaceuticals and Bangladesh Steel Re-rolling Mills.
According to available data from the CSE, some 890,866 shares of Beximco were traded, generating a turnover of Tk 22.42 million. Each share of the company closed at Tk 24.90, losing 0.80 per cent.
Generation Next Fashions was the second on the CSE turnover list with 2.18 million shares worth Tk 17.81 million changing hands. The company's share price jumped 9.21 per cent to close at Tk 8.30 each.
