Shajahan for putting BNP, Jamaat arsonists on trial
Shipping Minister and convener of the campaign for International War Crimes Mass Trial Movement (IWCMTM) Shajahan Khan demanded on Tuesday the trial of those from BNP-Jamaat camp who had killed people through committing arson attacks by enforcing hartal and blockade for 92 days from 2013 to 2015, reports BSS.
The Shipping Minister came up with the demand while he was addressing a press conference at the Swadinata Hall at Segunbaghicha in the city on Tuesday. "The BNP-Jamaat had killed more than hundred innocent people including 92 drivers, 17 helpers, three policemen, two BGB member, two freedom fighters and two bank employees in the name of movement in the years 2013, 2014 and 2015," said the minister.
He demanded immediate trial of those who masterminded arson attacks killing a good number of people.The Shipping Minister has also chalked out different programmes to this end.
The programmes include press conference on November 26 for revealing information by the probe committee of International War Crimes Mass Trial Movement, Satkhira visit on December 22, rallies in the name of 'Mass long March (Ganojatra) in eight divisional cities at the end of this month and mass rally at Sonali Bank premises at Mothijheel on December 21.
