Yunnan trade team visits WTC
CHITTAGONG, Nov 22: A Chinese trade promotion delegation from Yunnan province on Tuesday visited World Trade Centre (WTC) of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI).
Liu Guangxi, chairman of China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Yunnan Sub-council, led the team.
They moved round WTC, and viewed its different facilities, including Bangabandhu Conference Hall and Export Products Display etc, for promotion of trade and business, a statement of CCCI said.
The delegation head expressed satisfaction at the WTC facilities. He said this centre will facilitate foreign investors and will be much helpful in promoting bilateral trade between Bangladesh and China.
"Bangladesh has ample potentials to emerge as an economic giant, like - China and India, because the country is in a strategically important location," he added.
Deputy Chairperson of CCPIT Huang Shan, Director General of Yunnan Province Li Ping, Chief Director of Secretariat of CCPIT Yunnan Sub-Council Yin Dong, Deputy Secretary General Tan Yun, Deputy Director of Yunnan International Exposition Bureau Luo Huan, Chairman of Shandong Chamber of Commerce of Yunnan Province Sun Lianwen, Director of Foreign Affairs Service Department of Yunnan Chamber of International Commerce Lin Chen, Director of CCCI Mahfuzul Haque Shah and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
