Corruption eating into vitals of society: Speakers
Corruption is a crime. This vice is eating into the vitals of the society. If not curbed properly and immediately, it will spell doom for the country and the nation.

Speakers expressed the views while addressing a seminar on “Corruption and Development: Conceptual review and empirical assessment”, in the city on Tuesday.

The daylong seminar began at the Fareast International University campus at 11am.

Fareast International University's Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nazmul Karim chaired the seminar. Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Iqbal Mahmud was present as the chief guest and the keynote speech was presented by Professor of Public Administration Department of Dhaka University Dr Salauddin M Aminuzzaman.

The speakers dwelt in depth on the real situation of corruption in the society.

In his speech, the chief guest said that corruption or graft cannot be considered as activities acceptable to anyone. If tolerated and accepted, it will bring disaster for the society, he warned. – press release.
