First ever Wheelchair Cricket meet today

The first ever National Wheelchair Cricket Tournament will be held today (Tuesday) at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city, reports UNB.

The day-long meet for the physically challenged (wheelchair-dependent) cricketers will start at 10:00 am.

A total of 32 wheelchair cricketers, split into four teams-Dhaka Giants, Chittagong Riders, Rajshahi Warriors and Khulna Cyclone-will take part in the tournament.

The prize giving ceremony of the tournament will be held at 3:00 pm on the day.

Wheelchair Cricket Welfare Association of Bangladesh and Imago Sports Management Ltd are jointly organising the tournament sponsored by 'Purnava' brand of Reneta Pharmaceutical Company.
