Two cops shot in Boston; suspect dead
Two Boston police officers were shot and wounded following a shooting in East Boston late Wednesday night and the suspected was dead, authorities said.
The officials said the officers were responding to a report of a person with a gun at 10:51pm on Gladstone Street when shots were fired.
“Right now it looks like it was possibly a domestic incident gone bad,” Police Commissioner William Evans told reporters.
Evans did not disclose the identities of the officers or the suspect.
"One of my officers is being treated for life-threatening injuries, while the other's injuries appear to non-life (threatening)," Evans said in a statement on Twitter.
Police said they later located the suspect and lifted a shelter-in-place order for nearby residents, saying in a tweet that the scene was secure, according to a news agency report.
