Dhaka, Vienna agree to deepen economic ties
Bangladesh and Austria have agreed to deepen their economic relationships. The two countries have also vowed to work together to address terrorism.
The agreement came during a meeting between Bangladesh's Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz, held at the Federal Ministry of European Integration and Foreign Affairs in Vienna, Austria, on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the foreign minister of the two countries exchanged views on different aspects of bilateral relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in Dhaka on Wednesday.
It said the two ministers discussed about the scourge of terrorism and violent extremism and vowed to work together to address these global menace.
They also agreed to work together for deepening and widening the areas of cooperation, particularly in trade, between the two countries, the ministry added, according to a news agency. – bz
