Microsoft Student Partners (MSPs) are future community and technology leaders. MSPs share their knowledge and passion for technology with their fellow students, empower people around them by making them aware of the use of technology to bring positive changes in the society. MSPs are also trained by Microsoft to prepare them for better career and global challenges.

The MSP Programme was introduced at North South University in 2013 under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh Palit. Since then the MSP programme has been a pathway for the "Geeks" to pursue their dreams, says a press statement.

Currently spanning more than 100 countries around the world, MSPs have the access to insider-training, exposure to career opportunities, and access to the latest technology and software from Microsoft. This enables them to sharpen their leadership skills and enhance their portfolio with various promotional skills and experiences in the sector.

MSPs are trained to think out of the box, motivate people, build communities and take technology to the common folk. Rahat Yasir, current MSP Alumni and MVP were the first runner-up during Imagine Cup 2012. The application later on was one of the top eight innovations of the year awarded by NTV and Panasonic, Ideas Changing Lives Program. Rahat Yasir is also three times Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). Rahat Yasir was also included in the top 10 list of Nokia Future Capture Hackathon. He was selected to join MSPs from around the globe at the MSP Summit 2013 in Seattle, Washington D.C.

"I believe MSP Program changed my life, attitude, thinking and everything" said RahatYasir.

Throughout the year, a series of events happens around the corner, which includes, Sessions or seminars on Microsoft Technologies, Keynotes from MVPs and Microsoft Experts, Tech Talks, Imagine Cup Boot camp, App-a-thons, Campus Hackathons, Dev Camps, MVP Assisted programs, Hour of code, Game camps and MSP recruitment.

Criteria for participation are simple. Be a team player, be energetic, be helpful to everyone and never stop learning and spreading what you know.

The current executive panel includes Shawon Ashraf (Campus Lead), Kazi Rafshan Hasin (Senior MSP Lead: Publications), Imran Hossain Noyan (Senior MSP Lead: Communication) and Aziz Arman (Social Media Lead).
