Bangladesh-Afghanistan ODI series

THE Afghanistan National Cricket Team has arrived in Bangladesh to play three one day matches. The series against Afghanistan will be a good warm-up exercise for the Tigers who are scheduled to face the strong English side. Afghanistan has been improving remarkably in the international cricket arena and Bangladesh should not take them lightly. The Afghans have nothing to lose. They must not relax and should play with a professional frame of mind and put in their best to get the better out of their opponents so that they can start the series on a right note.

Afghanistan played against Zimbabwe in 2015 and they won the series 3-2. Afghanistan is playing ODI regularly and has a determined unit and some talented cricketers who can cause upsets. The Tigers have not played any international cricket in the last six months and the matches against Afghanistan will give them a good opportunity to get back the desired form. The Tigers however will have to be without their ace bowler Mustafizur Rahman who has been recovering from a shoulder injury operation.   Afghanistan will play a warm-up match before the official matches start and it will be interesting to see how they fare against the Bangladesh B team. The cricket lovers of the country are waiting eagerly to watch an exciting cricketing season ahead.  We wish all the best for the Tigers.
