Construction of TTC buildings in Gaibandha comes to completion
GAIBANDHA, Sept 22: Construction work of modern academic buildings of Technical Training Centre (TTC) located at Farazipara on the outskirts of the district town has already been completed recently.
Public Works Department (PWD) implemented the project at a cost of over Tk 230 million under the project entitled 'Construction of 30 TTC across the country', office sources said.
The buildings of the centre would be handed over to the authorities under the Ministry of Expatriates' and Overseas Employment very soon, said an official.
As the construction work of academic buildings of the centre had been completed, the TTC authorities had taken initiative to launch six month-long four courses - computer operation, garments, electrical and automotive - for the youths.
The courses will provide knowledge on technical education so that the youths could access to job markets at home and abroad.
To build unemployment free Bangladesh through creating skilled manpower to help turn the country into a middle income one by 2021 declared by the Prime Minister is another objective of the establishment of the TTC.
The activities of the institution will start in October. In this connection, instructors and other staff led by Principal of TTC M Atiqur Rahman are counselling students of schools, colleges and madrasahs here regularly so that the learners show interest to get admitted to the centre.
Primarily, a total of 160 students both male and female would get chance to get admitted here on four courses, sources said.
