PM seeks Swiss support for BD workforce’s skill dev
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sought Swiss support for the skill development of Bangladeshi workforce.
Hasina sought the support during a bilateral meeting with Swiss President Johan Schneider-Amman at the UN Headquarters on the sidelines of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said the two leaders discussed issues related to bilateral interests of the two countries.
He said the issue of Bangladesh's trade liberalisation also came up for discussions.
Later, President of European Council Donald Tusk met the Prime Minister at the UN Headquarters when they discussed issues relating to migration and Brexit.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, PM's Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad and Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque were present on both the occasions, according to a news agency.
