Ctg Abahani fire coaches Jozef Pavlik, Mamun
Chittagong Abahani Limited sacked their Slovakian Head Coach Jozef Pavlik and Assistant Coach Hasan Al Mamun on Wednesday for the team's poor performance in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League Football, reports UNB.
Pavlik, who took charge of Chittagong Abahani seven months ago for a full season replacing Shafiqul Islam Manik, lost the job in the midway of the league.
Local coach Nazrul Islam Ledu will act as the interim coach, said manager of the team Shakil Mahmud.
Pavlik's job came under the scanner following Chittagong Abahani's 0-2 defeat against Rahmatganj MFS in the 6th round match and he finally lost the job after playing goalless draw with mediocre Arambagh KS on Tuesday. Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football champions Chittagong Abahani are now in the 3rd slot in the 12-team league under the guidance of Pavlik after Sheikh Jamal DC (15 points) and Rahmatganj MFS (13 points) securing 12 points from seven matches with three wins, three draws and one defeat.
