DNCRP fine five food shops in Rajshahi
Members of Department of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) on Tuesday fined five food shops Tk 15,000 in Rajshahi on charges of selling sub-standard foods.
A DNCRP team conducted raids at Panchani Bazar and Puthiya Bazar area in Puthiya upazila of the district and found the shops guilty of preparing, possessing and selling foods in unhygienic condition.
The team fined the shops Tk 15,000 and realized the money from the shop owners on the spot, according to a news agency report.
Mahabubur Rahman, Deputy Director of DNCRP, said the drive against the violations of consumers' rights will continue.
