DU admission tests to start from Friday
Dhaka University’s admission tests for the first year honours programme of 2016-17 academic sessions will begin from Friday.
The exam for "Kha" unit (arts faculty) will be held from 10 am to 11 am. An estimated 34,606 candidates will take part in the test for 2,241 seats, said a press statement issued on Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.
The general knowledge test for “Cha” unit (Fine Arts faculty) will be held the next day. An estimated 10,243 candidates will vie for 135 seats of the unit.
The admission tests will be held at 73 centres on and outside the campus. BUET, Bangladesh Home Economics College, Dhaka City College, Azimpur Girls’ School and College and Begum Badrunnesa Govt Women College are centres outside the campus.

The admission test for the "Ga" unit (business studies faculty) will be held on Sep 30, the drawing test of the "Cha" unit will be held on Oct 1, the "Ka" unit (science faculty) on Oct 21, and the "Gha" unit (social sciences faculty) on Oct 28.
Candidates are not allowed to bring any electric devices, which include mobile phones, to the exam centre, said the statement.
A mobile court will operate to prevent recourse to any unfair means adopted during the exam.
Online applications were received until September 7 midnight. An estimated 302489 candidates are taking part in the admission tests for 6,800 seats this year. –RH
