Four commit suicide in Nilphamari, Magura
NILPHAMARI, Sept 17 (BSS): Two persons allegedly committed suicide in the district today.
Police said Kalpana Rani, 12, daughter of Amal Chandra Rao hanged herself at Akdapara village under Kishoreganj Upazila in the morning.
In another incident Joynob Banu, 26, a computer trainer was found hanging at one Jamiar Rahman's house in Dimla Upazila. Police recovered her body this morning.
Officers-in-Charge of Kishoriganj and Dimla Thana have confirmed the suicide incidents.
Meanwhile, UNB adds: In Magura, two teenage girls took their own lives by hanging themselves in two separate places of the district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Reshma Begum, 14, a resident of Laxmipur village under Sadar Upazila, and Tammi Islam Oishi, 18, daughter of Magura municipality councillor Parveen Islam.
Sudarshan Kumar, superintendent of police of the district, said Sabbir Hossain, a neighbour of Reshma, proposed her a relationship of love.
As she turned down the proposal, Sabbir started to disturb Reshma over mobile phone.
Following this, she committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling of her room in the afternoon.
In another incident, Oishi, a second year student of Lalmatia college in the capital, hanged herself over a family feud at noon.
Two separate cases were filed with Sadar Police Station in connection with the incidents.
