Four die as bus plunges into roadside ditch in Sylhet

Four killed in Sylhet road accident
Four people, including two children, were killed and 15 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Kayasthagram area in Golapganj upazila of Sylhet district on Saturday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Mir Abdul Naser, officer-in-charge of Golapganj Police Station, said the Sylhet-bound bus, coming from Jakiganj, fell into a roadside ditch as the driver of the bus lost his control over the steering.

The bus plunged into a roadside ditch on the Sylhet-Jakiganj road around 11:00am, leaving 19 passengers injured, the OC said.

The injured were taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where four people succumbed to their injuries, the OC added.
