Bangladeshi business leader urges India to create tax-friendly environment
Bangladeshi business leader urged India to create tax-friendly environment to boost imports from Bangladeshi goods to India.
This, he further said will take the prevailing excellent bilateral friendship and relations between the two neighboring countries to newer height.
President of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Abul Kashem said this while addressing a ceremony arranged by RCCI at its auditorium for according reception to the newly appointed Indian envoy at Indian Assistant High Commission in Rajshahi Abhijit Chattopadhyay Saturday night.
The RCCI president urged the Indian envoy for setting up of modern logistic supports, godown and laboratories for examining quality of products at landport areas along with launching automatic clearance systems replacing the current manual ones.
In reply Abhijit Chattopadhyay said the prevailing problems in the fields of trade and commerce between the two neighboring countries would be identified soon for resolving those through taking effective initiatives.
Leaders of RCCI, Rangpur Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RWCCI) and different business and trade organisations ceremonially welcomed the Indian envoy with wreaths and presented crests and gifts on behalf of their respective organisation to him.
President of RCCI said, "Bangladesh imports huge Indian goods of 3,000 categories and proposed India for increasing imports of Bangladeshi goods removing the tariff and non-tariff barriers to reduce the massive trade imbalance."-SAA
