Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) launched "MTB Green Energy Loan", a new loan product for sustainable energy generation, said a press release.

MTB Chairman Samson H Chowdhury launched the product by handing over the first loan sanction letter favouring Resource Development Foundation (RDF) to its Executive Director Golam Mostafa at a simple ceremony held at the corporate head office of the bank Tuesday.

MTB Founding Chairman Syed Manzur Elahi, Managing Director and CEO Anis A Khan, Head of SME Banking Mohammad lqbal and other directors were present on the occasion.

Under this loan scheme, MTB will grant loans to the customers wishing to set up solar PV (photovoltaic) system for household and irrigation, solar PV assembly plant, bio-gas plant, effluent treatment plant (ETP) or any other feasible renewable energy generation plants.
