British American Tobacco Bangladesh Friday launched its "Primary Health Care Services" for farmers in Lalmonirhat district. State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Mr Md Motahar Hossain formally inaugurated the programme and lauded BAT Bangladesh's role for offering health care facilities to its registered farmers across the country.
The state minister also said the present government is committed to ensuring health care for the people.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Aalauddin Fakir, BAT Bangladesh Managing Director Mr Alan Davy and BAT Bangladesh Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Head Mr Zakir Ibne Hai also spoke in the inaugural function held at Sapti Bari Chowputi, Aditmari in the district.
BAT Bangladesh Managing Director Mr Alan Davy said his Company has taken initiatives to help its registered farmers and their families by providing them with primary health care services to complement development efforts made by the Government.
