Citibank, NA Bangladesh, like in the past years, along with Citi employees from 100 other countries will observe "Global Community Day 2009" (GCD) on November 7, 2009, said a press release.

On this day, along with their families and friends, employees come together as a global team to their community. Volunteer teams will be working on hundreds of local projects addressing specific community needs, including literacy, housing, environmental protection, nutrition, health care and disaster relief all across the globe.

Citibank, NA Bangladesh plans to organise a very special day for the disabled at the Centre for Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP), the only organisation of its kind in Bangladesh.

Citi Bangladesh will celebrate GCD 2009 with the motto - "Let us all be inspired to serve the disabled citizens in Bangladesh".

Citibank employees will be scattered in groups to take care and entertain the patients of CRP with different recreational activities such as cultural functions and sports games.

Citibank employees in groups also plan to plant trees and provide different necessary equipments to homes that would help them in future. The programme will be graced by many dignitaries, artists and important personalities of the nation to make the day more special for the patients of CRP.
