A cancer awareness magazine on "Cancer Niyontron O Protirodh Barta" published by CDRB (Centre for Development Research, Bangladesh) with assistance of Pubali Bank Limited was launched recently.

The launching ceremony of the magazine was held at Pubali Bank Limited head office in the city recently, the bank said in a statement.

Chairman of CDRB and Cancer Care Programme Dr Mizanur Rahman Shelley presided over the function.

Among others, former adviser to the caretaker government and Editor of The Independent Mahbubul Alam, Pubali Bank Chairman Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, MP, directors Sk Wahidur Rahman, Ahmed Shafi Chowdhury and M Faizur Rahman, Alternate Director Kabiruzzaman Yakub and Managing Director Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, AK Shamsuddin Khan and Fawzia Khan of AK Khan Foundation, CEO of Cancer Care Programme of the CDRB Dr Maswoodur Rahman Prince, Assistant Professor of Medicine of Harvard Medical School Dr Bimalangshu R Dey and CDRB Executive Director Enayet Karim, among others, spoke.
