The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) is going to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (Monday) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to enhance mutual cooperation.

The MoU also aims to accelerate the development of the accountancy profession, an ICAB official said.

ICAB President Nasir Uddin Ahmed FCA and ICAEW President Martin Hagen will sign the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions at the city's Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel at 7:30pm.

Commerce Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan will attend the MoU signing ceremony as chief guest. He will be accompanied by World Bank Country Director Robert L Floyd as special guest, the official added.
