A day-long training programme on Anti-money Laundering (AML) was organised by AB Bank Limited at a local hotel in Cox's Bazar district recently.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) Deputy Governor Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui inaugurated the programme as the chief guest while BB General Manager (AML Department) M Mahfuzur Rahman was the special guest.

AB Bank President and Managing Director Kaiser A Chowdhury presided over the function, the bank said in a statement.

A total of 54 officers from 27 banks under Cox's Bazar district took part in the training programme.

AB Bank deputy managing directors Shamim A Chowdhury, Faruk M Ahmed and KAM Majedur Rahman, Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and CFO BH Khan, Vice Presidents M Mozammel Hoque and Shahnawaj Chowdhury also attended the function.

Mr Shamim A Chaudhury distributed prizes among the winners of the programme.
