Mercantile Bank Ltd arranged a certificate-awarding ceremony for its newly-appointed probationary officers who completed a 35-day basic training course at a city hotel Thursday.

The bank arranged the training course for its probationary officers so that in the beginning of their career they could provide quality banking service to the customers.

A total of 49 probationary officers participated in the training course.

First Vice Chairman of the bank MS Ahsan, Second Vice Chairman Golam Faruk Ahmed, Chairman of the Executive Committee Akram Hossain Humayun, and directors were present at the function.

The vote of thanks was given by Principal of the bank's training institute, Rabiul Hussain.

Additional Managing Director AKM Shahidul Haque, Deputy Managing Director Md Abdul Jalil Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director and CFO Monindra Kumar Nath, and other senior officials of the bank were also present on the occasion.
