The Anti-Poverty Platform demanded Monday that the government meet its commitment by taking necessary steps to halve the number of poor people by 2015 without showing any excuse.
It also demanded not only the government's food support to the poorest people but also fare wages for each and every one.
The demands were made at a press conference organised by the 16-party Platform ahead of the International Poverty Reduction Day on October 17.
