A company from Thailand, namely M/s Bexter Brenton (Bangladesh) Clothing Manufacturing Ltd will set up an industrial unit in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ), said a press release.
This hundred per cent foreign-owned company will invest US$ 1.3 million in setting up its unit and produce garment items.
The company will create employment opportunity for 292 Bangladeshi workers, including 11 foreign nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s Bexter Brenton (Bangladesh) Clothing Manufacturing Ltd in BEPZA Complex in Dhaka recently.
Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md Moyjuddin Ahmed and Managing Director of M/s Bexter Brenton (Bangladesh) Clothing Manufacturing Ltd Md Kongkiat Thanakarnjanasuthi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Executive Chairman of BEPZA Brig Gen Jamil Ahmed Khan, Member (Engineering) M Mahbub Ul Alam, Secretary Md Shawkat Nabi, and General Manager (Investment Promotion) AZM Azizur Rahman, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.
