GAZIPUR, Oct 4 (UNB): Police arrested 20 people on charge of cutting earth at Bakhrai mouza in Tongi thana today (Sunday).

Receiving information, a team of local police raided the area and nabbed 20 people while they were taking away soil from land owned by Jamuna group at about 11:00 am.

Sub Inspector of Tongi thana Ruhul said 20 people were stealing soil from the land, which was earmarked for construction of a residential project by the Jamuna group.
