Mr KAM Ferdous has joined Northern General Insurance Company Limited as managing director (MD), said a press release.

Before joining the company, he was the managing director of Dhaka Insurance Limited.

Mr Ferdous, a former banker, took insurance as career in the late eighties.

He joined Eastern Insurance Company Limited as senior principal officer in the Development Division and later headed the Claims Department of the company for over a decade.

He joined Takaful Islami Insurance Limited as deputy managing director in 2003.

He was promoted to the post of MD in the same year and served the company until joining the Dhaka Insurance Limited in 2006, the release added.
