A daylong business conference of Bank Asia was held at a city hotel Friday. Chairman of the bank Anisur Rahman Sinha inaugurated the conference as chief guest.

Vice Chairmen Anwarul Amin and M Nurul Islam, and Director A Rouf Chowdhury addressed the gathering.

President-cum-Managing Director Erfanuddin Ahmed gave address of welcome, said a press release.

All the branch managers and departmental heads of corporate office including members of the senior management attended the conference.

An in-depth review was made on the performance and activities of the bank keeping in view the yearly targets.

Various suggestions and recommendations came up to adopt new strategies to cope with the ever-changing situation and handle emerging challenges in the banking arena in the context of BASEL-II, which will be in force from January 2010.
