Dr. M. Khairul Hossain has joined as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) recently.

Dr. Hossain is a professor in the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. He obtained Ph.D. degree from the Moscow Institute of National Economy (MINE) in 1983. Earlier, he completed his MS degree in Economics from the same Institute. Dr. Hossain pursued his post-doctoral research work on Regulatory Framework of Stock Markets at A&M University, Prairie view, Texas, USA under Senior Fulbright Scholarship Programme. His strong academic credential as well as relevant practical experience gives him the required background to make positive contribution to the assigned field.

He has extensive experience while working in various administrative capacities of Public Universities and Financial Institutions, such as Chairman, Department of Finance and Banking, University of Dhaka, Provost of Haji M. Muhsin Hall, Pro-Vice Chancellor of National University and councillor of the Board of Directors of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
