RANGPUR, July 18 (UNB) : Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee formed a human chain in front of the district Press Club Friday demanding trial of war criminals.

The leaders and activists of different political parties as well as professional bodies and cultural organisations, individuals and freedom fighters took part in the programme.

The programme that continued from 6pm to 8pm was followed by a brief rally at the same place.

Shahria Kabir, central president of Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, attended the programme as the chief guest.

He said Jamaat-e-Islami was hatching conspiracy to frustrate the trial of war criminals. He urged the pro-liberation forces to come forward to thwart the conspiracy.
