German medical journal-Armeimittelforchung/Drug Research has recognised Omep-20 (Omprazole Capsule) of Aristopharma in terms of quality and efficacy, said a press release.

The journal mentioned that Omep-20 was bioequivalent to the research brand of Astra Zeneca, Losec in terms of rate and extent of drug absorption and thus they are interchangeable.

Omep-20 is now exported to different countries of Asia and has future export potential to developed countries of Europe, Africa and Latin America.

Bioequivalence trial is not a regulatory requirement in our country but it is a prerequisite to export drugs to developed countries, the release added.
