Bangladesh Commerce Bank (BCB) Limited organised a two-day training programme on BASEL-II for its officials aiming to enhance quality of banking service and to boost risk management capacity of local banks in the city recently.

Managing Director of the bank Muhammad Farhad Hossain inaugurated the programme.

Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and Chairman of BASEL-II implementation committee ATM Nasir Uddin was present at the function as the chief guest, while Deputy General Manager of BRPD of Bangladesh Bank KM Abdul Wadud was the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Nasir explained the importance of BASEL-II implementation in line with sustain growth momentum in the country's banking sector.
