Golam Mustafa new director of National Tea Co

General Manager (Tea Estates) of MM Ispahani Limited Golam Mustafa has been elected a director uncontested of National Tea Company Limited (NTCL) from the shareholders of NTCL.

The election was held at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the NTCL recently, said a press release.

Mr Mustafa started his career with James Finlay (United Kingdom) Limited in early 1975.

Later, he joined MM Ispahani Limited as senior manager and promoted to general manager of the company.

Mr Mustafa is a renowned tea planter of the country.

He took part in various management training courses at home and abroad.

He is associated with a lot of social organisations.

The NTC was incorporated as a public limited company in 1978 to take-over the assets and liabilities from the government of Bangladesh under a scheme of privatization of nine tea estates in Sylhet division.

The tea gardens under the NTC are Patrakhola, Kurma, Champaray, Madanmohanpur, Madhabpur, Jagdishpur, Teliapara, Chandichhara, Lakkatura, Parkul, Premnagar and Bijoya in Sylhet division.
