The 5th South Asian Shooting Championship was ceremonially inaugurated Friday amid much enthusiasm at the BKSP shooting range, reports UNB.
Army Chief General Mohammad Abdul Mubin formally inaugurated the meet, organised by Bangladesh Shooting Federation, as the chief guest in the afternoon.
A total of 120 shooters from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and hosts Bangladesh will compete in 12 events of the championship that begins tomorrow (Sunday).
Events:
July 5: 50-metre air rifles (men);
July 6: 50-metre rifles prone (men) 25-metre pistol (women) 10-metre air rifles (women);
July 7: 50-metre rifles prone (women)10-metre air pistol (men) Skit 75-shot competition;
July 8: 50-metre rifles 3x40 (men) 25-metre standard pistol (men)10-metre air pistol (women) Skit 50 shot;July 9: 50-metre rifles 3x20 (women)
