The four-day 6th Dhaka International Plastic, Packaging and Printing Industrial Fair begins January 25 next.

Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) Thursday announced the date of the fair at a press conference held at city's Dhaka Club.

The fair would give local plastic companies a displaying opportunity of their finished products at 150 allocated stalls while foreign companies will display raw materials, machinery in 220 stalls, allocated for international participants, BPGMEA President Ferdous Wahid said.

It would enable local plastic goods makers to be introduced with modern technologies that are much needed for our industrial development, Mr Ferdous added.

Taiwanese event management company Chan Chao International Co. Ltd will organize the fair on behalf of BPGMEA.

"International participants have already started showing their interest to participate in the mega event for Bangladesh plastic industry. We are expecting participants from countries like China, India, Pakistan, Taiwan and Malaysia," the BPGMEA president added.

Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre will be the venue where International participants will be charged $2000 per stall and Tk30000 per stall for BPGMEA members and Tk 40000 per stall for non member participants.

BPGMEA former president Jasim Uddin, executive director overseas of Chan Chao International Co. Ltd Ms Judy Wang and other executive committee members of the association attended the press conference.
