Board of directors of Pubali Bank Ltd., as a part of corporate social responsibility (CSR), donated Tk 0.2 million to Tara Banu of Noagaon district who had received severe electric shock and had later both of her hands amputated, to have artificial hands.

Pubali Bank Managing Director Helal Ahmed Chowdhury handed over the cheque to her father Zakir Hossain, said a press release.

Project Director of Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College SL Sen, General Manager of General Services and Development Division Shaflul Alam Khan Chowdhury, Deputy General Manager of General Services and Development Division M Aynul Haque Bhuiyan were also present on the occasion.

Helal Ahmed Chowdhury said, "The donation for Tara Banu is a part of our welfare activities. Pubali Bank is not only a profit oriented organisation, it has some social responsibility. As a part of this responsibility, Pubali Bank donated the amount to Tara Banu."
