Finance Minister AMA Muhith Wednesday came down heavily on critics who were bitter about budgetary provision for whitening black money saying that many of the critics also took the advantage of similar opportunities in the past, reports UNB.

"Many of them (critics) who are criticising the announcement of allowing undisclosed money took the advantage of different amnesties in the past," he told reporters, after two separate meetings with Bangladesh Cold Storage Association (BCSA) and Telecommunication Infrastructure Operators of Bangladesh (TIOB) at the finance ministry.

"Now they have become the champion of morality … where did they keep their morality during the previous amnesties," questioned the minister, responding to a correspondent.
