Prime Bank Limited (PBL) has donated Tk 0.72 million (7.20 lakh) to the Development Studies Department of Dhaka University (DU) to buy a generator for constant electricity supply, which will ensure conducive atmosphere for studies for the students of the department.

The bank handed over the donation cheque as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme at a function at the department of the university recently, said a press release.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Atiur Rahman, DU Pro-Vice Chancellor Harun-Or-Rashid, Social Science Faculty Dean Sheikh Abdus Salam, chairman of the department Tayebur Rahman and Prime Bank Managing Director M Ehsanul Haque were present on the occasion along with DU professors and top officials of the bank.
