Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) Chairman and Pragati Insurance Limited Managing Director AKM Rafiqul Islam along with Pragati Insurance Ltd Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo left Dhaka Sunday for Colombo, Sri Lanka, to attend the seminar on 'Personal Lines Insurance' to be held in Colombo from June 15 to June 17.

The conference is jointly organised by the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka and Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Re-insurers (FAIR), said a press release.

Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) Vice-chairman Nizam Uddin Ahmed, who is also the chairman of Meghna Life Insurance and Karnaphuli Insurance, BIA Executive Committee Member and Sandhani Life Insurance Managing Director Ahasanul Islam, Continental Insurance Managing Director Md Hashmat Ali, Agrani Insurance Co Ltd Executive Vice-president Nalin Perera and Green Delta Insurance Co Ltd Additional Managing Director ASA Muiz will also attend the seminar.

The leaders of the insurance sector from Afro-Asian countries are expected to attend the conference. Leaders in the insurance sectors from other regions of the world will participate in the conference as observers.
