KHULNA, June 14: International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB) emphasised on the need for a proper business environment through ensuring a corruption free public service sector at a discussion meeting on Public Service Delivery and Business Environment with the help of USAID here recently.

IBFB President and former Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation Mahmudul Islam presided over the meeting.

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque was present on the occasion as the chief guest.

IBFB Executive Director Hasanur Rahman Chowdhury, Khulna University Professor Md Shanawas, KCC panel Mayor-3 Ruma Khatun, KCC ward councillors Mahbub Kaiser and Shahid Iqbal Bither, Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industries senior Vice-president Farahad Ahamed Akond and Director Masud Hossain were also present, among others.

The meeting presented a research finding on Public Service Delivery and Business Environment to develop public service.

It also identified that the power sector and law enforcing agencies are the two vital elements in the development of a country and recommended effective utilization of these sectors in achieving sound economic growth in the country.
