National Bank Limited (NBL) signed an agency agreement with Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) at the NBL head office in the city recently, said a press release.

NBL Managing Director Md Abdur Rahman Sarker and SIBL Managing Director KM Ashaduzzaman signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Also present in the signing ceremony were NBL deputy managing directors (DMDs) Mohsin-Ul-Karim and Azizur Rahman, SIBL Additional Managing Director Abu Sadek Md Sohel and DMD MA Shahjahan, and Western Union Country Manager (Bangladesh) Syed Mohammad Kamal along with other high officials of the organisations.

The deal will help distribute the remittances sent by the Bangladeshi expatriates through Western Union Money Transfer to their relatives in the country with the help of all the branches and SME centres of the SIBL.
