BASIC Bank Limited organised a day-long awareness session for introducing MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) cheques and introduction of Bangladesh Automated Clearing House at its Shantinagar branch in the city recently.

Bangladesh Bank assistant directors Prajna Paramita Saha, Mohammad Akhlas Uddin and Khandaker Ali Kamrul Al Zahid were present as moderators of the session.

BASIC Bank General Manager Sheikh Monzur Morshed, Deputy General Manager Mohammed Mosharraf Hossain, and assistant general managers AM Mofazzal and Md Abdul Gofur Talukder were also present in the session.

In-charges of different branches of the bank and related officials of Dhaka city took part in the session.

The BASIC Bank general manager expressed that within short span of time all branches of the bank would be able to use MICR Cheques under Bangladesh Automated Clearing House.
