A suspect of the seven-murder case in Lalbagh has been arrested in Narayanganj early Friday, reports bdnews24.com.

The suspect, Abdus Salam Moti (45), was detained from a rented house at Sonargaon by plainclothes police, said sub-inspector of Lalbagh Police Station Abdul Alim.

He was sent to court at around 12:00 noon.

In 1994, seven supporters of the winner at Dhaka City Corporation polls were shot dead by a gang led by the defeated pro-BNP commissioner Aziz on the day after the election.
